Simba I. Jahi (Thomas Young), 62 of Eden passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Eden Church of God of Prophecy, 13811 Old State Highway 87 N, Eden, NC 27288.

Simba I. Jahi was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 7, 1961, a son of Richard Thomas Young and Gertrude McCray Young, both deceased. He worked as a CNA and was a National Guard Veteran. He was a loving father who dedicated his life to loving his wife.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by his brother, Brian P. Young.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice M. Young of the home; his daughters, Ebony M. Young of Norfolk, Virginia and LaTasha D. Young of Washington, DC; his siblings, Belinda Weir and husband, James, Jeffery Young, Edward Young, and Michelle Brown, all of Detroit Michigan; his grandchildren, Harmonie M. Tanksley, Per'Shawn P. T. Young and Kent B. Harris and his great-grandchild, Paradise M. Wilson.
