Stephen "Steve" Levern Carlson, 69, of Eden passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at his residence.

There will be no formal service at this time.

Steve was born in Kilmarnock, VA on February 22, 1953 a son of Charles Newton Carlton and Leverne Gould Carlson. He worked for Lyden Steel Company as a welder.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Holly Jennings of Eden; his son, Chris Carlson and wife, Shay of Winston Salem; his parents, Charles Newton Carlson and wife, Paige of Kilmarnock, VA, and Leverne Gould Carlson of Winston Salem; his brother, Carl Lee Carlson of Kernersville; his sister, Renee Carlson of Kilmarnock, VA; and his granddaughter, Mylah Carlson.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Freddie Carlson.
