Steve Allen Sams, Sr., 70 of Eden passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on June 27, 2025 at 5pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Eden, NC.

Steve was born on July 24, 1954 in Rockingham County a son of Roy Edward Sams and Ethel Strader Sams, both deceased. He was self employed as a carpenter and painter.

He is survived by his life long friend and the love of his life, Debbie Sams East; his children, Amy Sams of Stoneville and Steve Allen Sams, Jr., "Little Man" of Eden; his sister, Darlene Boyd Smith of Eden; his granddaughter, Courtney McClard and special care givers, Dawn East and Karen Gammon.

In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy "Sonny" Sams, Clayton Sams, Ed Sams, Doug Sams, Dillard Sams, Dale "Pete" Sams, Tracy Sams and Michael Sams.

The family will receive family and friends after the service.
