Susie Ann Hurd Allen, 62, of Bassett, VA passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Stanleytown Health & Rehab Center.

There will be no services.

Susie was born in Eden on July 4, 1964, a daughter of John W. Hurd and Lera Ann Foley Hurd, both deceased.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Bruce Allen; and her brothers, Randy Hurd, Donald Hurd, and Darrell W. Hurd.

Susie is survived by her children, Bruce Allen, Jr., and Misty Atkins; her grandchildren, Breanna Allen, Hannah Atkins, and Elliott Atkins; her brothers, Robert Hurd and wife Elizabeth,and Garry E. Hurd; and her ex-daughter-in-law, Denise Hazelwood.
