Talmadge Flemon Barber, 90, of Eden passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Brian Center in Eden.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 11am at Ridge View Memorial Gardens.

Talmadge was born in Rockingham County on June 17, 1930 the son of Russell Flemon Barber and Mary Ellen Green, both deceased.

He retired from Zigler's Redi-Mix as a driver. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Ferguson of Eden; his sister, Shelby Honeycutt of Danville; his grandchildren, Javen and Hannah; his great grandchild, Terah; his nieces, Delia Brown and husband, Greg of Mechanicsville and Jeanne Miraglia and husband, Mike of Danville, VA; his nephews, Russell Taylor and wife, Christie of Valle Crucis, Gregory Taylor and wife, Barbara of Raleigh and Eric Honeycutt and wife, Jennifer of Panama City Beach, FL and Larry Dean of Raleigh; several great nieces and nephews and best friend and care giver, Jim Andrews of Eden.

in addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Barker Barber; his sister, Odelia Taylor and his niece, Sharon Dean.

There will be no formal visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Gideons International or to the charity of the donor's choice.
