Obituary

Tommy Lee Rowe, 72, of Stoneville, passed away, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at his residence.

The funeral service will be 11:00AM Monday, January 15, 2024, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. After the funeral service here, Mr. Rowe will be sent to Florida where a funeral service will also be held at 12:00PM Friday, January 19, 2024, at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Davenport, Florida. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Friday from 11AM until 12PM. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Davenport, Florida.

Tommy was born to one of the pioneer families of Osceola County on January 21, 1951, to the late Milton Henry Rowe and Myrtle Parrish Rowe. He was a member of St. Cloud Missionary Baptist Church in St. Cloud, Florida, and an honorary Trail Master of Osceola County Wagon Train and Trail Riding. Tommy was an avid fisherman, who was always happy and never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Karl Rowe, David Rowe, and Joseph Rowe.

He is survived by his siblings, Freda Poppleton and husband Ray of Stoneville, NC, Rex Rowe and wife Dawn of St. Cloud, Fla., Rodney Rowe and wife Lori of St. Cloud, Fla., Tami Steighner or Orange, Virginia, as well as a very large extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ANCORA Compassionate Care (formally Hospice of Rockingham County), P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375, or to the charity of your choice.
