Tony Glen Simpson, 75, of Eden went to his heavenly home on Friday, September 18, 2026.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 until 7 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.

Tony was born in the Leaksville section of Eden on June 30, 1951, a son of Charles Clifton “Chinaman” Simpson and Thelma Ratliff Simpson, both deceased. He worked for Dicks Drive-In for over 30 years. He was a devoted husband and father who would do anything for his children. He loved all sports, earning several trophies for playing tennis and running in marathons. He loved watching the Washington Redskins.

Tony would do anything for his children and family, especially cooking. He never met a stranger. He attended Spray Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Timothy Mark Simpson; and his siblings, Dennis Simpson, Larry Simpson, Charlie Simpson, Faye Davis and JoAnn Self.

Tony is survived by his wife, Tammy Beard Simpson; his children, Tracy Simpson Bates (Wayne), Tony Glen Simpson, Jr. (Kimberly), Keenan Anthony Simpson; his sisters, Linda Ramsey and Karen Simpson; his grandchildren, Anthony Chilton, Kenny Bates, Autumn Simpson, Adam Simpson and Dylan Simpson; and his three great grandchildren.
