Vanessa Ardeila Lewis, 63, of Eden passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

To honor her wishes, there will be no service or visitation.

Vanessa was born in Eden on April 26, 1957, a daughter of Jerline McCollum Lewis and the late Curtis Lewis.  She formerly worked as a social worker.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and shopping.  She was a genuine good hearted person who loved to make her family laugh.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Glenn Lewis, Mark Anthony Lewis, Gerald Lewis, Curtis Lewis, Jr., Patricia Collins and James Lewis.

She is survived by her children, Diedre Lewis of Eden and David Lewis (Michelle) of Raleigh; her mother, Jerline Lewis; her siblings, Margie Blackwell (Gary) of Eden, Sylvia Betz of Maryland, Derinda Robinson (Nathan) of Eden, Christopher Lewis (Shimonda) of Eden, Jerome Lewis (Mark Mays) of California; her grandchild, Imani Lewis; and her godson, Monty Donanwa.
