Vicki Lynn Barrow Gibson, 74, formerly of Eden went to be with her Lord, peacefully in her sleep, on Monday, May 25, 2026.

A service of remembrance will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 am before the service at the funeral home and other times at Michele’s home.

Vicki was born in Eden on July 11, 1951, the daughter of Paul Eugene Barrow and Nora Lawson Barrow. She retired from Rockingham County Government.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Willie Lee Gibson and her grandson, Bradley Merritt.

Vicki is survived by her children, Michele Reynolds (Tim) of Ruffin, DeAnna Boren of Springdale, Arkansas, Christi Moore (Joshua) of Eden; her brother, Ricky “Butch” Barrow (Teresa) of Hendersonville, NC; her grandchildren, Paul Jeffries, Olivia Jeffries, Ben Merritt (Maria), Brenner Boren, Colter Boren, Zachary Reynolds, Holly Gilley (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Zachary and Cheyenne; her special childhood cousin, Glenda Barrow; her best friends, Marsha Thacker, Teresa Walker, Shelby Cobb, Teresa Kallam ; her niece, Ashley Barrow; her nephew, Casey Barrow; several great nieces and great nephews; and her fur baby, Gracie.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff at Yanceyville Rehabilitation for taking such great care of their mother the entire time she spent in their care.
