Walter "Wally" Leon Nixon, Jr., 62, of Eden passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 17, 2022 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 325 E. Harris Place, Ashton Way Apartments.

Wally was born in Greensboro on April 24, 1959, a son of Walter Leon Nixon, sr. and Jane Hudson Nixon, both deceased.  He was a mechanic who loved muscle cars and riding his Harley.  He was a very caring man with a big heart.  He did what he could to help others whenever he could.  He was a loving father, grandfather and brother.  He will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rodney Nixon and Terry Nixon.

Wally is survived by his children, Melissa Renae Nixon of Pelham and Walter Leon Nixon IV of Thomasville; his siblings, Pam Jessup and husband Bruce of Pilot Mountain, Teresa "T.C." Harnage and husband Keith of Greensboro, Karen Tilley and husband Wayne of Reidsville and Johnny Nixon of Mauldin, SC; his eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
