Watson Curtis Smith, 94, of Reidsville, passed away on Tuesday morning, February 11, 2025, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday, February 14, 2025, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Wolf Island Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Curtis was born in Rockingham County on May 8, 1930, a son of William Worth Smith and Martha Martin Smith, both deceased.  He was a retired mechanic with the City of Reidsville.  He was a jack of all trades, helping anyone who needed help.  There was nothing that he could not fix.  He enjoyed traveling and was a true family man.  He loved his Lord and witnessed to everyone around him.  He was a member of the Lord's House of Prayer Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents and siblings, he was predeceased by his son, Ricky Smith.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mildred Wiles Smith of the home; his children, Karen S. Toler (Johnny), Diane S. Hollinghead (Donnie) and Teresa S. Garrett (Ricky), all of Reidsville; his grandchildren, Angie Gerner (Julian), Kimberly Myers (Kevin), Derrick Hollinghead (Jessica), Richie Garrett, Curtis Hodge and Jason Hodge; and numerous great grandchildren.
