Wayne Deloy
Stone
Mar 24, 1966 — Dec 30, 2023
Wayne Stone, March 24, 1966 to December 30, 2023. Devoted husband and father, loyal brother and friend, beloved son and uncle, accomplished teacher and mentor. Torpedoman's Mate First Class, U. S. Navy, Submarine Force, 13 years. The father of 3 - Ray, Josh, and Matthew - he was father figure to so many more.
Wayne was a man who knew the meaning of "honorable." He redefined words like, "work ethic" and "brother". His devotion to family, blood or not, was unparalleled and his sense of duty was above reproach.
He was a problem-solver, able to think creatively of potential solutions and logically about which potential had the best chance of success, then bring that to fruition through his own efforts and by directing others.
He was a man who touched many lives in profound ways, creating a legacy by teaching others and modeling skills and behaviors that will continue this legacy into future generations.
Wayne was so perfectly imperfect that those who knew him could learn from him without being judged for what they did not know. His life served as quiet, unspoken inspiration to do better and be better.
