Wesley Lee "W.L." Johnson, Jr., 72, of Mayodan, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Annie Penn Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 3 pm Monday, August 15, 2022, at Sandy Ridge Christian Church Cemetery with Minister Milfred Hudson officiating.

W.L. was born in Franklin County on March 2, 1950, a son of Wesley Lee Johnson, Sr., and Mary King Johnson, both deceased.  He was formerly a telephone operator for ITT.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Johnson, and his sisters, Phyllis Carol Hudson, Virginia Lane Branch and Rose Lee Webb.

W.L. is survived by his sons, Thomas Johnson, and David Johnson; his brother, Russell Wayne Johnson; his special nephew, Greg Hudson; his special friend, Mary Peters and his four grandchildren.
