Wesley "Wade" Presnell, 76, of Stoneville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 2 pm at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.

Wade was born in Banner Elk, NC, a son of John Wesley Presnell and Elizabeth Hicks Presnell, both deceased. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps and received a Purple Heart for his bravery. He later worked as a mail carrier in Reidsville where he retired. After retirement Wade worked as a security guard at Gildan in Eden. He attended Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Presnell of the home; his sister, Maxine Wilcox of Boone, NC; his brother, Earl Presnell of Lenoir, NC; his brother-in-law, Billy and Debra Dalton of Eden; his sisters-in-laws, June and William Smith of Eden and Nancy Dalton of Eden; his grandchildren; Kendra Williams and Lukas Presnell, his great grandchildren, Evan Williams, Ember Williams and Sailor Slaughter; and his caregiver, Meghan Moore.

In addition to his parents, Wade was predeceased by his daughter, Tammy Williams and his brother-in-law, Rodger Dalton.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 1 until 2 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
