William "Frankie" Gardner, 84, of Eden passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at 3 pm Monday, March 7, 2022 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Frankie was born in Draper on November 18, 1937, a son of John Stuart Gardner and Ethel Reese Gardner, both deceased.  He was a retired diesel mechanic for the City of Eden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joretta Ward Gardner; and his siblings, Charlene Bond, Bill Gardner, Allen Gardner, Ralph Gardner and Jean Gentry.

Frankie is survived by his children, Cynthia Ringholz and husband Mike of High Point, Shelia Wood and husband Terry of Eden, Lisa Hagy and husband Troy of Statesville and Lori Harig and husband Mark of Rincon, GA; his brothers, David Gardner and wife Arlene of Eden and Roger Gardner and wife Helen of Eden; his sisters, Brenda Taylor and Carol Allan, both of Eden; his grandchildren, Darrell Moore, Trae Richardson, Brett Harig, Cayce Streetman, Elizabeth Hawkins, Logan Taylor, Caitlynn Cavallo, Alexa Loper and George Wood; his cousin, Barbara "Bug" Smith and several great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to his special friends, John Pegram, Dottie Regan and Steven Chandler.
