William Curtis Sands, Jr., 75, of Eden passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at his home.

A service of remembrance will be held at 5 pm Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel, 7671 NC 770 in Eden.  The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 pm before the service.

William was born in Leaksville (now Eden) on March 26, 1948, a son of William Curtis Sands, Sr., and Victoria Dixon Sands, both deceased.  He retired after 45 years of service from Karastan Rug Mill.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Jimmy Sands.

William is survived by his wife, Shirley Deane Sands of the home; his daughter, Angelia Callahan and husband Mark of Pinnacle; and his brother, Herman Sands and wife Michelle of Stoneville.
