William Steven "Steve" Black, 72, of Eden passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center.

To honor his wishes, there will be no services.

Steve was born in Eden on February 27, 1952, the son of Hurbert William Black and Barbara Brown Black, both deceased.   He retired from Sears.  He loved riding in his boat at Philpott Lake and collecting guns.  He would bend over backward to help anyone.  He loved animals.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Kingston Black of the home; his children, Jennifer Cox and husband Robert of Virginia and Jessica Walker of Eden; his sister, Kim Kapps of Eden and numerous grandchildren.
