William "Bill" Harold Watson, 79, of Eden passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11am at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service from 10 until 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Bill was born in Danville, VA on January 19, 1943 a son of William Brady Watson and Cordie Gentry Watson, both deceased. He worked for Dan River Mills where he held the position of maintenance supervisor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Tankersley Watson.

He is survived by his son, Dwayne Watson of Myrtle Beach; his sister, Martha Walker and husband Charles; his brothers, Dennis Wayne Watson and wife Chris, and Doug Watson and wife, Peggy all of Richmond, VA; his sisters-in-law, Lou Tankersley of Tennessee, and Phyllis Inman of Danville, VA; his grandchildren, Jessica Moon and husband, Curtis of California and Stacey Daugherty and husband Alan of Eden; his great grandchildren, Sampson, Roselynn, Kairi, Aksel, Margaux, and Ronin; his nephews, David Inman, and Jeff Inman; as well as several nieces.

The family will receive friends at the visitation only.
