Charles Zachary Benfield, 33, of Winston-Salem passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church.

Zachary was born on September 7, 1988 in Reidsville, a son of Mary Griffin Richardson and the late Charles Glen Benfield, Jr.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Benfield, Sr.

Zachary is survived by his son, Braden Benfield; his mother, Mary Richardson of Eden; his step father, Buddy Richardson, Jr. of Eden; his siblings, Morgan Small and husband Wesley of Reidsville, Tyner Richardson of Eden, Katlyn Richardson  and Hunter of Ruffin, Tatum Benfield of Reidsville, Kayla Peterman of Reidsville, Christian Brinker of Reidsville, Tyler Benfield of Reidsville; and his grandparents, Virginia Rice of Reidsville, Dee and Linda Griffin of Madison, Buddy and Angie Richardson of Stoneville, Sharlene Benfield of Reidsville and Susie Brust and husband Carl of Greensboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Liberty Baptist Church, 141 Broad Leaf Road, Reidsville, NC 27320 in order to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
