About Our Crematory
Boone & Cooke owns and operates its own crematory. Our Crematory is the FIRST and ONLY crematory in Eden. It is located on our property, just adjacent to the main funeral home building. It was completed in December 2011. The name of our cremation center is Legacy Cremations, Inc. Boone & Cooke has complete control and oversight of the cremation center, and the cremation process.
Unlike other funeral homes in the area who do not have a crematory, and who transport your loved one out of the state or area for cremation, you can have peace of mind knowing that once your loved one comes into our care, they will never leave our premises for the cremation process. Boone & Cooke does NOT perform cremations for any other funeral home in Eden except for our own.
Cremation Safeguards
To ensure security, and eliminate the possibility of any error, the licensed crematory technician places a personal identification disc with your loved one at the moment your loved one is transferred in to the care of our cremation center.
Personal Identification Disc
This disc is with your loved one throughout the entire cremation process. Each disc has a number that is assigned to your loved one, and this number is recorded on all paperwork for the deceased. The disc is placed inside the cremation unit during the cremation process.
After The Cremation
After the cremation is complete, the cremated remains are placed with the stainless steel identification disc into an urn. You will be presented with an official Certificate of Cremation when you receive the cremated remains that guarantees all the above steps have been followed.
